im sure this has been asked before. id like to know if its possible to use kazaa at university? ive installed it, but it doesnt seem to connect. i assume they have blocked it somehow, but is there a way around it?
i've also heard of something called tunneling, what is that exactly?
thanks

It's how you free yourself from jail once the RIAA and your universities system admin find out what you are doing.
Most likely they blocked the kazaa's port. And you shouldn't be using kazaa in the first place, atleast use kazaa resurection. Then use a http tunneler and set up kazaa to use port 80.

im was using kazaa lite resurrection. but i cant connect to an node.
but what exactly is tunneling, i understand its dangerous and can get you into a lot of trouble. but what exactly does it involve?
and my friends ARE singiong to me....thats why i want to download some proper music ;)
by the way, do other file-sharing programs work i.e. edonky, bittorent etc?
thanks
Tunneling is not dangerous, getting caught is. Tunneling is just changing the defualt port which kazaa uses. The port that your UNI blocked.

don't use kazza in uni, i know quite a few people get caught. they just got a warning the first time. i use BT for a couple months and i never get caught. i recommand 3 other people to use it and nothing happen for them too.

i guess its not worth the hassle trying to do something that may get me into a lot of trouble.
i guess i'll just use bitorrent then. anyone recommend any good sites? i know of suprnova, any other ones like it?
thanks gentlemen (and that cute little penguin :D )
