Hi,
Just the past month or so my 360 had been freezing while playing games then it froze while booting up, I was told this was overheating so I replace heatsink compound and made a fan setup that sits below system which means it has 4 fans blowing into it my 2 and microsofts 2 this helped for a while, now to my problem, when I switch on, it works without a hitch then it freezes and apon reboot it red lights, anyone come across this and maybe solved it or what hardware is at fault.

Any help would be great otherwise anyone know does a 360 look good as a bookend.

You will no doubt come across many solutions if you trawl the internet. Ranging from taking a heat gun to the motherboard CPU and GPU (there isa detailed video on youtube) to the slightly less extreme wrap your box in t-shirt or cling film and play it hard for 20 mins then let it cool.
I'm not saying one way or the other as I simply don't know but the concensus is that the fault is down to the fact MS used lead free solder on the motherboards. Heating and cooling has caused it to crack, the forced overheat scenario for some has apparently helped to re-flow (for want of a better word) the solder. For some this has solved the problem for others it's a temporary fix that only lasts a few hours.

If this is the case I'd be inclined to go with the tin foil round the plastic (for sheilding) and heat gun on the mobo. This would no doubt take the needed solder up to a higher temperature. But what do I know? I'm only going by what I've seen and read NOT from experience.
