360 Flashing Questions!

Just about to go round my mates and attempt to flash a Sammy MS25 drive. Just got a few questions before I attempt it don't want any mistakes ;)

is a Asus A8N SLi Premium system board ok to use?
can someone post a checklist of all the firmware software I will need just so I can make sure I have everything.

Think that it for now if you can think of any thing else I need to know the please do so.

That motherboard should be fine.

You'll need:

mtkflash (possibly hex edited to work with your chipset)
kdx42 (for copying the key from the backup to the hacked firmware)
xtreme42a.bin - the hacked firmware file
a DOS bootable USB drive or floppy disc
