I have connected my pc and xbox drive up.

I have loaded slax linux on my pc and then booted up again without powering down and my windows or linux dont seem to see it.

I have looked in the bios and it is there with my other drives.

is it my sata chipset???
if so can I upgrade it??

also I have another mobo with sata on it, is it worth trying that one?

thanks for looking

It should come up when Slax is loading if it's detected correctly. If not, the easiest solution is to buy a connectivity kit, either Xecuter or Xeno, which will put it into ModeB like the Slax CD should be doing.

Once it's in ModeB you can just plug it into SATA, windows will detect it as a drive and you can flash it.

It's worth trying the other motherboard too. If you have SATA and SATA RAID ports, the SATA ports will probably give the best results.
