hi,

i built a new pc but it freezes after a few minuites?
i get a continuous buzzing sound as it freezes?

the mainboard is a dfi lanparty reversion a nforse mobo,
memory is infinion 512 400 mhz ddr
cpu (http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=84958#) is a unlocked 2500+ amd (http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=84958#)
cpu cooler is a zelleman cooper flower cooler,

i have setup the bios right

the cpu temperature is reaching around 28 - 31 degrees in bios,
i tryed it in safe mode, left it on for about 45 mins and guess what no crashing? the pc ran fine ?

freezes in normal mode, works ok on safe mode no freezing ?

so im guessing its a driver problem,

i dont know whever i should install windows 2000 (http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=84958&perpage=10&pagenumber=3#) or windows server (http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=84958&perpage=10&pagenumber=3#), as ive reformatted and installing xp, but as soon as i install drivers etc then i start to have problems, and its hard to track down what driver it is thats causes the problem as there loads of drivers for windows?

anyone have any ideas?

thanx

As you said m8 good chance its a driver issue ,,,not much help i know but my advice would be to clean install xp then install each driver individually leaving time between each one to try and narrow down which one is causing the problem,,,it may be that that driver just needs updating?slow pain of an arse job but its just a proccess of elimination
