I authorized it and it will only transfer the songs from the ipod that I bought, not the ones I loaded from my own CDs. Any idea how to help?
My new Dell now works and I have 5 days to send the old one. I do NOT want to have to call them again (2 hrs of frustration to get it replaced). They of course did NOT send me an RMA to send it back. Any ideas?
I emailed them and of course, no one emailed me back... I am starting to HATE DELL.

First, you can't sync music from your iPod to the PC. It goes only in the other direction. However, you have a couple of options. You can burn the files to a CD or a DVD, then copy them to your new computer, or you can use your iPod as an external hard drive to copy and transfer all of the files.
Also NEVER return any items without a RMA! You might as well not send it back at all. Don't worry about the 5 day limit, just try to get a RMA. Did you receive a packing slip in the box with the new PC? It should look like THIS (http://warrantypartsdirect.dell.com/us/program/T1415200.htm).
If your return label is missing or misplaced please contact US_WPD_Support@dell.com and request a return label. Please provide the RMA number, the pickup location of the part and a contact name.
1. Find the prepaid return label inside the box.*
2. Place the part(s) to be returned in the same box from which you obtained the replacement parts(s)**. Carefully pack each part to prevent damage during shipping.
3. Securely seal the box for shipping.
4. Write the Return Material Authorization (RMA) number on the outside of the box with black ink, in large bold numbers.
5. Attach the return label to the outside of the box over the shipping label.
6. Call carrier to arrange pickup.
NOTE: The driver must sign the packing slip and provide date, and time. You must retain the packing slip for your records. If the item is lost in transit, your copy allows Dell to trace your shipment with no liability on your part.
When the defective part is received by Dell, the RMA referencing the service part dispatch will be closed in Dell's service part database.
