Have been having probs with nero not finalising my discs lately. I have created files with dvd shrink but when they are burned using nero it gets to 100% then fails saying it is unable to perform end of disc at once.
Really need this urgently so can anyone advise me of a programme to convert these files to a dvd tonight??
Many thanks:)

Stomp is probably the next best bet but many thousands of people use Nero without problems. What media & burner are you using? Maybe they don't like each other?

Are you sure it is not the burner. Anyways, you are not alone with your problems. I have never had a single peice of Nero's software work properly for me. I have a 105 and have used RNM for well over a year and never had a problem. So if you are sure it is something connected with software then Recordnow Max would definitely be my recommendation. It should be noted that Nero and Recordnow Max can conflict with one another so you might want to remove Nero before installing it.

What nero are you using 5 or 6?
Give RecordNow a try IMO its better than nero.

Try Burnatonce if you are using a 105, works perfectly and is of course free and sooo simple for DVD Video burning it's unreal.
Simple and works, the best two words in the English language I reckon. :D

What about Prassi
Just drag the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS and then burn and works fine

Prassi doesn't tend to get along well with newer burners though. Even after updates. Also there is no reason to go for Prassi anymore. Recordnow Max is based off the same software but it is more up to date.

Its probably the media.
at download.com you can search & find all the programs & any program & download & test them out first.

Or Alcohol 120%. A very nice piece of kit.
I'm going to look into that burnatonce though, if the interface is less cluttered than Nero it may just be for me :)

Just remembered that you can now use DVD Decrypter to burn your files. Make sure you have the latest version of Shrink and Decrypter and you should be fine. Just set DVD Shrink to output to ISO and it will take care of the rest for you. ;)

RNM caused me some problems in the past and is pretty lackluster, but for most it is a solid piece of soft so would still recommend it. I haven't been fond of Nero since they revamped it ages ago ... old Nero was much better imho. Alcohol 120% and Disc Juggler are what I use these days for pretty much everything.

Every gui of every piece of software made has a better/cleaner gui than Nero m8. So that won't be too hard to achieve. :D
OK I know people like Nero for it's many abilities which is fair enough - but it does look crap guy's admit it. :)

Just out of curiosity Lazza, which program do you use for burning? (I guess I should say, which program do you use most for buring)?

 yes- although it does all the jobs i need it to.
I was thinking of switching till they introduced the AAC encoder and Recode2.

I don't know if you guys notice this problem with nero. Everytime when you launch nero, it automatically request information from nero.com(this is a background process, you cannot see it). I alway have this same problem with nero but after I installed norton internet security to stop nero from accessing to the internet, the problem is gone.
cheers!

I've NEVER seen this. I have installed Nero on countless systems, some of them have ZoneAlarm which monitors outbound traffic and not once over the years have I seen Nero request Internet access.
The only time Nero requires Internet access is to perform CDDB database inquiries if you are about to rip a CD.
Then again I don't personally use Nero although it has always been installed on my system over the years. It's difficult for me to have faith in software that is so poorly coded that there are bug fixes every other week. I prefer bug free burnware.

I see it now, I believe someone said this is part of Nero's attempt to detect/block the use of illegal keys.
Count me in as a Nero Lover, it's an amazingly comprehensive program.
