2nd controller not recognised ?

for some damn reason my 360 wo'nt recognise my 2nd controller done the usual set it next too the memory card slots and pressed the connect button on the rear of the controller , the icon starts spinning on the controller then it just constantly stays on , any help plz ?:confused:

do you have a plug and charge cable?

All I do to switch my wireless controllers between modded and non modded box is plug it in connected to charge cable and switch it on and it connects to whichever console the wire is in.

no val just have the standard wireless controllers the 1's with throw away batteries in

If the normal method doesnt work then looks like controller is broke or faulty.

Turn controller on.
Turn console on.
Press and release the connect button on the console.
Press and release the connect button on the controller.

That should connect it up. I am sure you read the manual tho so seems to be a hardware issue
