Hi Guys

I have been having a problem with my comp and wonder if it may have been infected. The symptoms are my pointer "machine guns" where ever it happens to be and I immeadeatly have pages upon pages of the screen I was looking at online. This only seems to happen online. When this happens I cannot get any use from the mouse and the only soloution is to shutdown via Ctrl+Alt+Del. I have run adaware 6 & full scan with McAffee but problem still remains. I have been getting a lot of syn port attacks that the gardian has been blocking, I don't know whether this is significant.
Has anybody any ideas to help ?
Many Thanks
Suzy

Get a good popup blocker and stay away from dodgy websites. I would recomend the google popup blocker.

Your pointer being machines guns is more likely a sign of a theme change. Go to the mouse icon in the control pannel, and change the settings to default. Scan your system with spy bot, and post a log from hijack this.

Pepsik - I shall install a popup stopper and see if that helps, and I am a good girl I try not to go to dodgy sites

ps2wiz - I have checked the theme as you sais and it was set on degault, I have reset it any way. Could point the way to get hold of spy bot and how do you post a log from hijack this, is it in spy bot.
Thank you both for your help

 We're not all of the porn variety.
I'm going to be a bit busy suzy, but if you have a problem just post back. I'm sure that either myself or someone else will reply as soon as possible.

Pepsik - Thanks for the links. I've installed & run spybot, I could not believe the amount of rubbish it found, hopefully it has solved my prob.

Elaine - I could'nt agree more. I mentioned earlier that I was getting a lot of syn port attacks detectedby my McAffee, are these a cause for concern ?
Thank you both for your help
