Best Mid-Range Scanner?

Hey all, Im looking for a new scanner, mid-range (bout £200-£300) i do a lot of graphics work so has to scan photos really well

Any suggestions? havnt looked for a scanner for ages

I bought my Epson Perfection 4990 from cameras2u £279 including next day delivery, and I recieved it the next day. I was happy with my 2400 until I tried the 4990, I bought one the next day and gave my 2400 to a nephew. No firewire cable though which was no suprise. The OCR is much improved over the 2400 as you would expect. 64bit colour deapth, and the enlarged image quality is just superb. I just love everything about it.
