alcatel speedtouch 330 error!!!help!!

can no longer connect to the web using alcatel speedtouch 330 modem,keep getting this message:
program error:could not find or create alcatel spedtouch connection entry.

Have you checked you isp a/c details are still there and is there still an entry for this modem in Network Connections?

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the driver/software package?

you should be able to reinstall the modem by putting in the cd, unplugging the modem and going to:


START > RUN > then type...

D:\speedtouch\setup.exe

that will then bring up the option to repair or uninstall. choose uninstall then reboot.

once you are back up and running go back to START > RUN and you should still see D:\speedtouch\setup.exe. click on OK and it'll bring up the installation wizard again. follow through and then plug in the modem


but you've probably fixed it by now anyway =0(

you could always call up btopenworld and ask to get passed to the alcatel/thompson desk ~~~ belgians are such fun to chat to
