XP SP2 & Java

My computer was working fine but last night I installed the SP2 and now every time I go on a site that has java my computer restarts itself and says your computer has recovered from a serious error.

I deleted the MSJVM and installed the Sun one, however, this still hasn't fixed this problem.
I know I could probably just delete the SP2 but I like it and I would like to keep it.

Any suggestions?

well, thought this was going to cause issues due to removing Java, ever since the rulings were made.

I would think as the moment it would be best, and even the only way round, to install SP2 as a clean install or maybe an upgrade to SP1a, but not the original XP or XPSP1 which both had the MSJVM installed.

if it helps, my SP2 was installed onto SP1 and it works fine, JAva inc.

Well, you should be aware of these kind of issues before you choose to install beta updates.

installed mine yesterday and it works fine so far. there are a couple of different versions of the VM java to try. Get me on msn and ill forward one that works fine for me
