Hi guys thanks for looking in.
Right just flashed the kids 360 using the new x360usb lead , once i got it to recognise the drive all went fine, now i have a lego star wars image that ive burnt but it wont boot, originals are fine so seems flash went ok, it did actually say i had to update the console to play this backup disk so i assume it read the backup ok but it wont play, am i using the right disks ? using verbs double layer +r i have a liteon drive but cannot use bitsetting but i didnt think that was an issue with the hitachi drives ? any help woulod be appreciated tried 2 burns now one at max the other at min. looking at the case it does show a rw on the bottom right of the case but i dont think they are rewritables would that make a difference

used clone to burn the disks and checked the layer break all seems fine

It's your disc m8 not the flash. I've been able to do the dash update from a DVD that wasn't properly burned (would update but wouldn't boot) with an LG burner.
Any thing else you can share with us? Was it patched and ripped right? What Version of CloneCD? Could be anything but I'd imagine your burner is the weak link.

What's with the USB lead? I take it that it makes this flashing nonsense easier for the non-technofreaks (like myself) out there?!
Was it pretty straightforward? and can you still go on Xbox Live with original games?

id say it your writer as well - get a pioneer there only just over £20 - no worries about bitsetting then
the 111,s autobitset outa the box now then ? just curios fore i rush out and get meself a couple.
ps would also be interested in this usb lead if ya could point me in the right direction be appreciated.[does it do sammy as well as hitachi]

111's auto bitset dual layered m8,
USB leads don't do SAMMY's but the Xecuter kit is handy to power the 360 drives so you don't have to use it hooked up to the 360 mobo.

Wow thanks for all the replys guys !!! ok so it looks like its my writer, glad i just bought it !! mikght put it in the microwave and take it back to pc world lol. So the discs are ok then verbs dvd+r ( dual layer obviously)
clone is the latest version (trial) so not a dodgy crack as i say checked the layer break and it was fine. lead was from www.**********.co.uk (http://www.**********.co.uk) only came out this week, as previously stated only does hitachi's at the moment couldnt get it to work with my main lappy but works on an older one, may have been me though cos it wouldnt work with the older one to start with but by powereing the 360 drive on and off a couple of times it picked it up straight away in windows so think it may have been a little user error !!, you can hot swap with it as well, did a mates straight after mine no need to shut pc down and restart and it picked that up no probs first time. so really easy guys.
new burner then !!
thanks for all ya help chaps
