Are all 360's noisey

Ive just bought a second hand core 360 and it seems awfull noisey ( fan noise ) way louder than the normal Xbox.

Are they all like this or could i have a problem fan ?

They are very noisy and are louder than normal ones, especially if its not given the room it needs to breath, placing it in a confined space like a cabinet with sky box etc seems to be a big no no as the hot air goes nowhere and just gets hotter and causes the fan to do even more work, if your playing backups with a Samsung if you have xtreme v3.3 you can get it to load the games slower which will take the noise level down but they are noisy basts without doubt (sounds like a frickin jumbo taking off when you turn them on)

Mine's a lot quieter when running backups, but I've just put a Nyko Intercooler on it and it's even noisier than ever - best safe than sorry though I reckon.
