View Full Version : Going to flash my first hitachi drive do i

hi everyone im about to flash my first hitachi drive , ive done 5 sammys so far , with the hitachi do i connect it up (using conectivity kit ) and reboot pc and then double click the flash prog ? or do i boot pc and when in windows turn on the drive and use the command prompt ?

Start your pc With the connectivity kit button down (mode b). The drive will auto recognise in Windows.
From a command prompt change to the directory you have your files in. Execute the bat file according to your drive letter (giving a unique 4 digit number so your f/w dumps go into their own directory safely aside from the flash prog)

All went fine had to turn drive on though at windows login window as my pc wouldnt boot if switched on from rebooting ?

i got my hd on motherboard raid and it was hanging on scan for ides so i rebooted the pc waited for the windows login and turned the drive on and it worked fine ?
