Im So Confused With Flashing vs Chip

I tried the search feature (been on the board long enough to know better) but came up with alot of things and after reading them I think I just got more confused.

What I want to do is play backups on my 360 ( I have a Samsung Drive) but I also want to be able to play on LIVE with originals without getting banned. From what I understand, I should probably get something like the NME modchip or Globe modchip that has the dual firmwares and auto detects (if thats the case, which is better). Then I read that there is some type of stealth firmware hack for the Samsung drives that lets you play backups, but how can I use it to play originals on LIVE, wont it show up to MS as a different firmware, or is that what makes it stealth.

Any help would be appreciated as I want to get this done before the onslaught of the holiday game season.

It's without doubt best to either get one of the chips you mentioned or get one done with dual firmware that you can change with a switch to switch between the original and hacked firmware, the Samsung "stealth" thing seems pointless to me as from what I've read it makes the backups appear like originals as it has all the things the originals do BUT the actual hacked firmware is not stealthed so if they can read your firmware that you have on the drive then it's useless as they will be able to tell that your using hacked firmware.
