SAINTS ROW
DEAD RISING
OVER G FIGHTER
CHROME HOUNDS
i can not remember what game but it asked me to update XBOX360 all has been fine with all the new games including recently aquire LEGO STAR WARS
but i went back to playing ghost recon and it would not fire up tried some of my other older games and they will not fire up either, but the older ones on printables do fire up all discs used are verbatims
i have 15 now non working on silver top verbatims which all did work fine but now dont
and the other 20 older titles that are on printables do work fine can anyone shed any light on this, has updating somehow made the silver tops non compatible

the update may not have done anything to the disc but most likely the file structure. The disc might need patching to the latest stealth standards with the stealth patched ss.bin

No But Why Do All The Ones On Printables Work But Not The Ones On Non Printables

any verb disk reguardless if its printable or not should work on your console
as the non printable & printables have the same dye , i used non printable and had no problems what so ever but am no using printable verbs but at 6 speed & have not had 1 not work at all , obviously updating the console as some games require you to do before they play affects summat within the console it may only be a dashboard update for some online games but they are there for a reason .
Like the post above suggests try repatching the game with the latest stealth patch and then see what happens

well i dont think patching with the latest stealth patch will do anything, specially considering that the update will only update the console and not the dvd firmware and as the stealth part is part of the actual dvd firmware, this should make no difference at all.
will agree that something fishy is going on there, but i couldnt tell you what.
try burning one of the non working disks, on a now working brand of media, see if its the actual game as opposed to the media.

it doesn' matter what firmware you have or at what point your 360 has been updated either by disc or by Live download, Microsoft isn't closing flashed hacks via this method YET and i wish people who haven't a clue would stop saying its the updates that are doing this, its more than likely your xbox is on the way out (for whatever reason) or the discs/brand and burner used (a combination)

Here Here Burpy!...
Its also bugs me that people are saying mod chips work better than flashing....
Nobody knows yet!!!!
I think personally you have more chance of getting booted of with a chip as it puts resistance in the circuit even though its switch off meaning MS can see it like xbox 1!

i think it would be easier for MS to do there software checks than have the console perform some sort of resistance check............................not impossible i dont think but much easier for them to perform simple software checks on the dvd firmware, or even simpler ask the console to check sectors on disc (hence stealth) but either way you look at it, theres no 100% way to hide the fact that your console is modded in someway from MS, its justs as easy for them to check a sofrware mod, as it is for a hardware mod.
