Ipod blew out my usb ports?

The only device I was using with my 360 was my ipod for playing saints row- makes it pretty damn cool. My front usb ports are out- back one still works. Anyways- the guy that modded my 360 told me that the ipod draws too much power from the usb ports and thats probably what blew out the ports. :( . IS there any solution? are the ports repairable? Can I maybe get a usb multi adapter- would that help out the power problem- so I could use the ipod again in the future?? Is the ipod deffintely the problem? I have a chip installed- not sure which one- but it was the newest one a month ago.

Thanks- really appreciate any help. Also- anyone know if a device like the Gamexpert Xbox 360 Cooler King would help?

it could had been the ipod as it takes power of the usb even when the ipod is playing away.crap design and battery will be knackered with a year
its more likely that the chip has popped

Nope- and my chip still works fine.

think he means chip for the usb controller m8 not ur chip for playing backups

only thing u can try is a usb hub which is wall powered and try the front usbs again (99.9% sure it won't work tho)if nothing u can only use the back with this setup

don't take my word for it working again or if it blows up again as im only thinking out loud
