I concur that Verbs are the only ones worth bothering with, especially on the Hitachi. If you want any further proof just let me know and I will link you to some error rate scan comparisons. ;)

i got given 10 blank datawrite titanium discs the other week
burnt 10 games all work no crashes and no costers

You may not be saying that in a few months.
certain dvd drives are having trouble with layer break on some riteks +r dual layers when you try to copy them you carnt get past 52% the discs are written from the middle outwards then do they go from the outer to inner (would have a shorter layer break ) or from the inner to the outer anyone know for sure?

Just that Ritek have really poor firmware support from a number of burners (that and the durability of the media is questionable). Not sure exactly on the specifics but at this point Verbatim seems to be the only company that can make solid D/L media.
