Hi guys....i read the tutorials up top but i know there has to be a quicker way to convert vcd/svcd to dvd compliant video. There are tons of ppl who get new movies and have them on dvdr (which works on standalone dvd players) really fast and I know they dont take hours to convert each movie or they wouldnt be able to have this stuff 0-sec.

Anyway I used svcd2dvd to extract the bins to av files and then tmpeginc to multiplex them into an .mpg file for each disc of the vcd.

All i want to know is the easiest and fastest way to splice these 2 parts together and have them be dvd compliant without having to wait 2 hours for tmpeginc to do it.

Anyone?

Use a faster encoder, like CCE or Main Concept.

You could use one of the all in one software like Neo5 or something but it won't be as good as TMPGEnc or CCE encode so it's between time or quality really.

Quickest way for a VCD would probably be to demux the mpg into audio and video streams. Use ffmpeg on the mp2 to upsample and convert to AC3 and then just import into TMPGEnc DVD author or similar.

For SVCD stricktly speaking you need to re-encode both the audio and video if you want it DVD compiant. In which case as said something like CCE would be quicker.
