Noob Question :(

Might be an easy one , but when im viewing web pages i get this annoying sound like a door closing . How teh hell do i get it off . Apart from turning my speakers off :)

go into the cotrol panel, under sounds find the one thats annoying you and remove it, or choose a different scheme... Its not some one behind you is it, just checking what your viewing and then leaving as you turn around? :laugh:

lol. i have changed the scheme m8 . and it still does it :( . Had a look through sounds also, and its not there . Will have to put up with it

It has nothing to do with "web pages" it is AIM. Everytime some one signs off your buddy list you will get that noise. Go to preferences and turn off the sound scheme.

I havent got AIM, plus the sound is defo from the web pages its consistant when the pages change . But not all the time just certain days.

It's not a pop up stopper alert by any chance ?

Go to My computer / sounds and Audio devices / sounds scroll down the program events until you find Start navigation and change that to none.

It's not a pop up stopper alert by any chance ?
I think this could be it, most of them do it. My Google toolbar did it but it can be turned off by unticking a check box in the options menu.
