360 Should I buy a 20gig or will a memory card do?

Hi my son needs a memory card for his 360. Will a memory card be sufficient for him or should I get the 20 gig HD. What is the main use of the HD? that I cant do with the mem card.
His games are all copies.

HD is mainly for storing downloaded online content, and playing Xbox1 games. If you don't plan to do either of those, the memory card should be fine.

other than that unless your gonna d/l stuff from live its not much use for now

Get the HDD m8. It's not much more than a mem. card and some games physically require a HDD to play (ie. FFXI). That and you'd need it for XBL if you ever decide to subscribe.
