Buttons Not Displaying on Taskbar

Hi, I went to Cd rom Guide but I heard half their members are now here lol. I wonder if anyone can help! Having problems with windows xp as i am displaying no taskbar buttons, basically when i minimize a window it disappears without displaying on the taskbar and the only way I can access it is via alt + tab. Anyone got any ideas what has caused this and how i can solve it!!!. Im clueless on what to do :confused:

Gonedown the virus and spyware route cleared all known spyware and no virus, is this visual basic related problem ???
