hi, at the moment i have broadband running through my desktop pc, which has a wireless network point. and i am sharing the broadband connection through to my laptop with a wireless network card.

everthing works fine unil i installed norton internet security 2002.

i added the networked laptop on the 'internet control zone' and it picked up the network card. but when using the i explorer or messenger nothing connects. However if i disable norton it works fine.

i tried going through every section disabling and renabling everything one at a time to see if i could find what may be causing it.

but nothing works.......

is there anything i can try??

Have you tried adding the IP address of the laptop to the list of "trusted" addresses in the firewall?

i tried the 2004 version on the 15 day trial and i had no problems......

may be worth upgrading less hassel
