evening all i was wondering all these downloads for swap magic 3.6 i cant get any of them to work wats the deal with it any ideas :zombie:

ive downloaded them in iso format then copyied them at 4x with nero says not playstation format or sumut like that

You can't boot a ps2 with a backup of anything. This has been the same for ten years.

Ah, I was wondering that as well. Because if you could do otherwise, then why wouldn't some genius figure out a way to patch backup games to run without a modchip!! But then why are isos of swap magic discs available? Is there any legitimate reason that someone would want swap magic on a modded ps2?

And besides, wouldn't you need those tools or whatever pieces of plastic they give you? Or could people just improvise and do a DIY on it?

No, you cannot do it.

Sony disks are written with special Sony drives ($35,000) on special Sony dvds with special sony software.....

You got me on that one. I don't have a very high opinion of the swap discs in general, but why someone with a modded system would actual bother with them is just beyond me.
