I have just bought an ARS-2030 Smart plus control card - with a 5 bay external box - using a sony dvdrw for the source and 3 106's as the burners - the problem i have is that although i set IDE 0 as the source (sony) and then 106's on IDe 1 - 3 I'm for ever getting Target Drive Not ready - even tho I have the source disk in the source drive and blank discs in the rest - I've set all the drives to masters as it said in the manual - any ideas would be appreciated

Have you tried using just the DVDrom (sony) on IDE 0 as Master and only one Pioneer on IDE 1 as master and disconnect the other 2, This will give you an idea to whether its the controller itself thats at fault or the reader is incompatible, If it still dosent work try using a 106 as reader and with only one 106 as writer. If both of the above do work then it may be down to the 106's having different firmware.
