is there a program to create thumbnails?

i have a batch o photos from the digi cam and is there a program that will make thumb nails for them all and save them as gifs or jpgs for the web?

Sure lots. Can even have them created whilst you upload.

You might want to try IrfanView.

xara webstyle 4 has a thumbnail creator which also gives you the html to load onto the web page.
