xvid to dvd encode times

hi

it takes me abt 45 min to an hour to convert an xvid to dvd using
vso divxtodvd-using a amd semperon 3200+.was going to get a
AMD Athlon 64 3500+.would i see much improvement on encode times.

I dont think so. 3500 Vs 3200.....

It takes a long time however you do it. That's why it better to get a divx dvd player.

try winavi converter i think its faster then vso

if you use the ati encoder you can convert in 20mins :)
quality is very acceptable, no way as good as the better encoders out there but for doing say a 2 disk svcd you can't beat the time it takes
