Hi I have installed evox by using the mech assault exploit, everything works fine, detects game disc as game on the evox screen, press A on the control pad, game loads and I can play the game no problems, my problem starts when i end game ( or get killed ), click on the option to either exit or retry game and all that happens is I get a blank screen.
Anyone got any ideas on whats causing this or what to do to fix the problem?
I've tried this on both original and backup version of Mech assault and both these do this, also tried a couple of other backups and it also happens with these.....
Cheers

What bios are you using?

As Mr Snatcher it could be bios related.
Also go into the evox settings, and make sure that every (in older versions of EvoX- there are at least three instances of IGR in the settings) "In Game Reset" (I can't remember if it is referred to as "IGR" ) is disabled/ set to no. Then scroll to the bottom of the settings and select "save and exit" if you just press "b" after editing the settings it'll exit without saving.

Hi,
Nimbles I turned off all IGR settings I could see but when I rebooted, it still froze with a blank screen after being killed......which is not a great problem as all i have to do is reset the box and it palys again, but would prefer to have it working OK!!!!
noyfb™ i have been searching on xbox-scene with no luck, haven't been able to find anything related to this, if you have seen something please let me know.
also went in to settings and where it said bios next to it says unknown, is this how it should be or do you think there is a problem?
Cheers

bios unknown isn't necessarily a problem. It could be that the evox version you have doesn't have the latest bios hash values (the fact there are more than one IGR settings also suggests that cos the latest evox only has one if i recall correctly)
I'd recommend you get the latest evox (3935) with the accompanying ini file which you should edit to suit your tatses (definitely make sure the ip settings are correct otherwise you won't be able to ftp in on reboot- you can keep the ip settings from your current ini, but there has been some modifcations to the format of the ini file in recent releases so i don't think just leaving the old ini file is advisable).
alternatively you can check this bios list (http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=43437) at xbox scene; people post their bios hashes there (the hash changes everytime you make any alterations to bios in xbtool- e.g. turn the flubber animation off, change the colour of the "X" logo etc. i think all the latest standard bioses are on there too).
You can then paste them into the evox ini (there is a section in the ini for the hashes).
Unfortunately posting where to get the latest evoxdash.xbe is against the forum rules but the chances are if u knew where to get the stuff to carry out the mod in the first place you know where to get the files now ;)
Does the xbox reset on eject?
If it isn't this already i'd flash the bios to an x2 4981.06 (if you have only anf f: partition), or 4981.67 (if you have an f and g parition)- although this subjective- the evox m7 bios is pretty good too
