internet connection problem

I have broadband 1mb from pipex using pci bb modem running xp

while i'm downloading if i leave my pc for 20 minutes to half an hour lately i seem to be loosing internet connection

had this problem for a week now anyone have any ideas how to stop the connection loss

Check with your ISP as they mave have a 'disconnect on idle' policy.
Leaving your email proggy on with the check for mail setting on 10 minutes will keep your connection active.

And make sure that you don't have the power saving option turned on for the NIC in the device manager.

thanks guys sorted now had a setting ticked in internet settings/advance dialup settings/disconnect if idle for 20 minutes
