has anyone managed to get their stuppidly loud hitachi drive replaced for the samsung one, mine is really pissing me off and microsoft pretty much said tough luck when I rung them!
feel more than a bit ripped off at the moment, they obviously know its not on as they replaced the drive on newer machines, why should I be stuck with what I feel is a sub standard machine
if i ever meet bill:karate: gonna chop his head off, he must be laughing his head off!

do you really think microsoft are gonna replace your hitachi drive for a samsung, so you can go off and mod the firmware on it?
that may or may not be what you plan to do but now it is possible to mod the samsung drive microsoft probably think everyone is gonna have a "noisy hitachi drive"

tis a 360, i personally dont care about the modding, id like to be able to play my games or watch a film without needing to wear bloody headphones to drown the thing out... turning the telly up loud isnt really any good at night iwth a kid in bed is it either, so please dont reply with that, doesnt solve the fact its a piece of ****.
yet another case of microsoft putting what they like on the shelves knowing people will buy it whatever...
your not telling me there wasnt someone at microsoft who didnt hear a 360 and think 'bit loud that...'
