PAL to NTSC patches ?

I've got 2 PAL games I wanted to patch to NTSC but I'm a bit hesitant as I remember the PAL to NTSC patches for PS1 were usually crap. Is is still the same for PS2? i.e. screen off-centered, etc.

Thanks pepsik ... actually I was at PS2 Chimps homepage and grabbed the patches ... maybe I'll give it a go on an RW first, assuming my PS2 will even load my scratched, filthy single DVD-RW. :D

pal patched to ntsc will have the screen stretched vertically if it works. and in the best cases, the screen is centered so only a part of the top and bottom are cut off..

Use the ADR patcher 0.5 and that will help you out. It'll never be perfect but more games are using ajusters within them so that helps too........ :)

I recently asked a friend of mine about this as she tried a few. She has been using the PS2 Chimps patches and said only 1 of 4 worked properly. Others had either black and white screen or were way off center. I wanted to patch my games for trading purposes, but maybe I'll just rely on the PAL to NTSC video fix w/ my Messiah and see how that goes.

Ya, i use to use ps2 chimps' patches (now they don't do them anymore)...they all worked for me, but the screen was not centered. The nice thing with most of the games, the options allowed to center the screen...besides being off center, they ran just fine...

and its true a lot of european games come with built in pal/ntsc modes, but most of the games will boot up in pal mode, so with the patch, you can "see" the options, rather than a black or rolling screen...

oh and i want to ask since this topic is on pal/ntsc patching...does anyone know a site like ps2 chimps'??? i know there are the ones listed above, but ps2 chimps updated and released patches for every pal game that was released...so is there any other site that good??...thanks
