Dvd Shrink

i have just reformatted my pc, and before dvd shrink took 30 minx max to copy a dvd to my hard drive

now its taking 55 hours does any one have a reason why, and too sort this out?

not totally sure but sounds like a dma/pio issue???

check hardware properties of your drive and if it says pio get it back over to dma...

Yah, right click on my computer, go to manage, device manager, IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Expand that and right click for properties of the controllers - in there you can see and set the transfer mode for all channels. Should be UDMA, probably yours are set to PIO.

Have you tried Intervideo DVD Copy, far superior MO. once you have decrypted movie it Picks out English soundtrack and movie file for you, plus lets you opt for the menu, or the whole lot on 1 or 2 discs, quite neat really.
