We have a rather large wireless network here (50+ AP's) all on 802.11g. As its a large site, we dont have too much problem with overlapping channels and interference, but if we get many more we may be pushing our luck
We've just received 6 new AP's (Cisco Aironet 1130AG) which support 802.11a unlike all our other Cisco AP's
So I figure it would make sense to use 802.11a for these 6, because in the area they're going, there is already 4 Mac Airports which I think are b/g
But would it cause any issues with the exisiting networks?
And also how many non-overlapping channels are there with A? As I recall, 1, 6 and 11 are the only ones on G right?
