Hi all.

I've just had a Sky dish installed and the Sky box and TV both work off the same remote.
The problem I'm having is how to adjust the TV's colour and contrast via the remote.
If I click the TV button on the remote, the colour is set as it was set on the TV originally, using the TV's own remote. The problem is, I have to click the remotes Sky button everytime I want to change a channel etc, but when the remote is set to Sky mode the colour is very pasty and grey.
I know I can change colour and contrast via the remote because this was explained to me during installation (along with every other function). Can't remember how to do this and it doesn't explain how in any of the manuals.

Anyone know how to do this.

Cheers

As I understand it, you can only do basic functions to your tv via the sky remote.ie, on/off button, volume, changing channels and using teletext.
More detailed functions require the remote that came with the tv.
Sometimes after programming the correct code into your sky remote for your particular tv you may find the Help button adds another function.
Good luck.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but press the "services" button located towards the top of the remote. This should bring up a menu. From there choose "system setup", then press "select". Choose "picture settings". You should be able to at least adjust the contrast from there.

Elaine, thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for.

I could change the colour/contrast settings using the TV remote, but had to be in TV mode on the Sky remote to see the effect on screen. In TV mode the Sky channel buttons etc didn't function. It wasn't a big deal, just irritating. Now I won't have to worry about TV mode except to turn the Telly on.

Thanks again.
