Im in the process of purchasing an mp3 player for my car.. stereo type... There are loads about and the prices do vary!!! I was wondering does anyone have one of these? Im not sure if they are any good, but would be great to play all my mp3 albums, and would save me money and time converting them into audio and cluttering up my car.....

If anyone has any tips or recommendations then please post here....

not really a consumer tip, but a tip if you get one installed in your car.
never leave it in view, i.e. if you can pull a flip down, or take the face off it when you leave the car.
i had a friend who parked his car up, forgot to pull the face off his cd player, and someone broked into his car and took it.

Sods law says that the one time you forget to take the face with you, someone else will take it.

uk or us?

for uk try www.bassjunkies.com (http://www.bassjunkies.com)

my brother bought this model (http://www.bassjunkies.com/?cpage=product/browse_detail.php&area=shop&category_id=93&sub_category_id=78&manufacturer_id=433&product_id=25044&show_my_car=&return_link=%2Findex.php%3FP%3Dpbb%26A%3Dshop%26ci d%3D93%26scid%3D78%26mode%3Dall) when it was on a special discount, and so far he's had no problems- he's not the most technically minded ;) so i can't actually ask him any questions- he's coming home next weekend i think so i'll try a few different cd's (e.g. with/without folders cd/cd-rw) and give you an idea of how well it performs

Bought my kenwood from Bass junkies, about the cheapest, had it years and no trouble.

i have a kenwood mp3 one which i got from www.bassjunkies.com (http://www.bassjunkies.com/)

well worth it imo. i can fit approx 150 tracks on ONE cd which is more that my 10 disc boot changer used to hold! the autochanger is now sold as you won't need one with a mp3 player.

i can put each mp3 format album in it's own folder on cd and it plays fine. also plays cdr/cdrw no problem at all!
