I'm sure this has been asked many times but searching didn't help.
I have a 10gb hdd for windows and just found a 20gb to replace it with. Is there any way to just transfer everything to the new hdd so I can get rid of the old one without having to reinstall windows?
Thanks.

You can go to the website of the HD maker to download the tool to copy the old HD to the new one.

You can use the thread How to move a windows install to another drive (http://66.197.142.137/forums/showthread.php?t=14436) for reference.

Another alternative would be to keep the 10gb drive and install the 20gb as a slave drive and have 30gb total disk space.
This has benefits in that ..... you can save all your data to the slave drive and reinstall Windows at any time, without losing all your data ;)

Well I have 3 250gb hdds but I hate putting windows on large hdds so thats why I was using a small old xbox hdd for windows. But I ran out of space with all my apps so I found a 20gb.
I used that acronis true image and it worked great, no probs at all. I'm still keeping the 10gb just how it is so if I ever have any probs I can just reinstall it to the 20gb.
Thanks guys for all the help :)

Acronis has always occupied a soft spot in my heart.
It is my preference over Norton Ghost.
