i've bought a microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse, every so often it goes into a world of its own and the mouse stalls, and the keyboard presses the same key loads of times or won't put anything down at all.

i've put new batteries in so its now that, i've plugged the receiver into every usb port on the computer so its not that, i've put the receiver in all different positions so its not that.

has anyone else had this problem and sorted it, if so please help me before i snap the keyboard in half.

any help appreciated

Try resynchronizing your keyboard and mouse to the receiver.
Press the button on the receiver, and then verify that the light on the receiver starts to blink.
Press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of your mouse or keyboard.
Check you have a steady green light on the receiver.

Other than that you could try updating the software HERE (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/downloads/default.mspx).

i've already done all that but it didn't help. when the signal starts to go the light flashes every now and then but re-syncing it doesn't help.

i've also got the latest software so i know its not that either.

it must be something to do with a weak signal but i don't know to make it stronger.
