friend of mine has asked me this before he buys

so does the nano playvideos like the video ipod
or just mp3s

I wish, although that would defeat the purpose of the ipod video wouldn't it ;)

Wouldn't even want to know what videos would look like on such a teeny screen. The iPods are small as it is for viewing movies.

Yes... not by default... but with a linux hack...

It's very heavy of space, 2gig will give about 90mins

Some guy was selling a how too on ebay for £10 - he included a link to a video of it playing, I just removed the video bit from the URL and went to the index and there was a very long looking how to.

It's not easy, but doable. Would rather watch on my PSP though...
