Wassup everyone, welps looks like I wanna upgrade my monitor now and I'm looking at LCD's. I've been doing tons o research and have narrowed down my search a bit, but still could use some help. First off, besides just standing there looking at the damn thing, what are the 'little' things to look for??

And so far this is my first choice http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/sku.asp?PageType=1&Sku=515524&bcFlag=True&bcSCatId=3&bcSCatName=Technology&bcCatId=4&bcCatName=Monitors&bcDeptId=2000&bcDeptName=LCD+%28Flat+Panel%29+Displays&bcClassId=142216&bcClassName=17%2D18%22+LCD

What do you guys think of that one?? it's a NEC 1765. I'm also looking at the NEC 1565 which is the smaller cheaper version. Some others on my short list include the SamSung 171N, SONY HS73 and HP F1703.

ANY help and/or opinions you guys can give will help take the stress outta a pretty expensive investment. (expensive to me at least:) ) Thanks All....

Personally i would go with the sony, i've always found their tv's and monitors to be the best quality and worth the extra money.

I've got the sony SDM-S73H 17" (http://shop.sonystyle-europe.com/SonyStyle/b2c/readshop.do;jsessionid=ID4001DB0.2343834822487456E nd;sapj2ee_*=4001?z_Forward=setDefCatalog2&url=www.sonystyle.co.uk&SonyForward=Z_MapURL&redirected=true&nextExecute=/catalog/z_InitShopISAEntry.do&shopId=SST_GB_EN) the picture is brilliant on that and it also plays games without any issues. from what i read some tft monitors have problems with fast games? well i play UT2K4 on mine and it's perfect, so if that works fine then any game will.:)
