I have read the guides, searched the forum and now resorting to posting. Need some help.
Installed a pci usb 2 card. Went to plug in a high speed device (nomad jukebox) and an alert came up warning of a high speed device in a non high speed blah blah.
I did some research and found i needed windows xp service pack 1. Updated this and therefore have driver 5.1.2600.0 showing in device manager.
It looks like everything is installed (enhanced host controller). I plugged in the device and same message came up.
Have uninstalled everything and rebooted and the os detects the card and reinstall.
Also installed drivers that came with card after SP1 upgrade. Still no help.
When i have checked the usb root hub for that card it shows standard usb root hub in the description.
Upon plugging in the device the message appears and gives advice. It request i plug the device into the usb port i already have it plugged into.
Also the IRQ for one of the hubs is 5 all the others are 11.
Prior to updating sp1 i installed all the different drivers that came with the card. The cd contains all manufacturers drivers. Could this be screwing the card.Have uninstalled them all and reg cleaned where possible - still no hope.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
