hi yes you can refill these carts no problem
but its becomes a pain in the arse as you got diffrent colours to fill up
i would simply buy cloaned ink carts less problem and less money too

Your lucky coz the newer versions of epson printers have chips in the catridges which you cannot refil.... They are cleaver buggers, coz once the catridge is empty the chip send a message to your pc to tell you its empty, and even if you try to manually refil it still refuses it... Epsons sneaky trick for you to replace with genuine epson catridges, although you can by reconditioned one which have been reprogrammed.....

Who ever thought of that idea will be getting big bonuses.!!!!

And take it from me, we just had one of the refill needle type explode on us and ink went all over the kitchen so you are taking a risk. I've never had a problem but I'll never buy that type again! Get the bottle type if you can refill....

If you give up on the refill front, this company supply pretty good compatibles and prices incl. p+p.
I've used them for over a year now and the products are pretty good.

Ok I'll post a little of what I know about this as I was just reading up on it. First you can 'reset' these chips yourself, the resetters are available all over at various prices.
Consumer Reports did some recent testing (May 2004 issue) on these and found that they could print an additional 11-50% more quality photos after resetting.
They also tested quite few printers. Find more info here... www.CRExtra.org and click the printers link.

Further more they tested inks, (first time I've ever seen these tested!) and reported that the Name Brand inks are still the best for color, not as much diff for black, and except for HP, that this site of all tested cheap off-brand color carts was the best www.411inkjets.com especially in the Epsons
(they also have the chip resetters there as well)

And this site http://www.inksell.com/ did well in the HP's and Cannons, Only fair in the Epsons

Yep that link for inksell that Hoss gave uses the InkTec refills (made in Korea) which I can confirm are superb for HP printers, never seen anything closer in matching the genuine HP stuff. And I am very fussy about quality.

In the UK I know www.xsct.co.uk (http://www.xsct.co.uk/) do the InkTec kits but they are not on their site so phone, don't know anywhere else off hand that does them.

Its not worth the time and hassle refilling ink, its much easier and better to buy cloned ones as mentioned above.
To refill you have to wait something like 8 hours and keep the cartrige upright and also in a cool place, even after that, sometimes they dont print well.
