how do i get 2 ppl to give a ref at bst-secure?

obviously i dont expect 2 ppl to just say they know and trust me (chnces are they dont anyway)

but after those refs i can build up a reputation as being legitmate

I would be carefull about asking for refs here as I only give out negative ones.

You get a rep of being legit, then you get the refs. Not the other way round.

can i just say that i wasnt asking for refs.

i think my mate has an account but still thats only one ref .

do i have to post over @ BST in the proving grounds and hope someone recognises me????

Yes you will have to post over at Proving at BST. You have been around for a while so someone must recognise you. You need to post before the end of today really as registration closes in the next 24hrs or so for another month as BST only allows registrations in the 1st week of every month

i have never traded before so the chances of getting 2 refs are very slim

Ok, so you are looking for 2 people to vouch for you, not leave you refs.

This is actually pretty hard unless you know 2 people already on the board. Its a pretty serious offense if you vouch for someone then that person turns bad, so people won't vouch unless they really do know AND trust you. Best thing like gooner said just post in the proving grounds and somebody will vouch for you.

ihave posed over @ BST and i totally understand that ppl would be reluctant to vouch for me. i have read about the fact that if someone rips someone the ppl who vouched 4 him get punished as well.

ill just have to hope some takes a chance and i can prove my worth

Word of advice too - don't let anyone else use your account I used to let my brothers share mine and due to a stupid post I got booted out. :mad: That was after 18 months of membership.

Mate Im in the same situation as yourself... I thought that by getting myself on what used to be cdrom-guide i would be able to transfer over to bst, but rules have changed and have to get refs. I don't trade as no media so nobody can vouch for me.. Im a little stumped on how to get on as have heard the site is very good.

guys BST isn't the only trade forum around, (but it is the best), start out on one of the other forums and maybe someone who is a member on both will ref you.
