A customer of mine is totally out of the way and BT\NTL can't give him broadband.

Is there any other way... i've heard of satellite broadband but as wealthy as he is, I don't think he'd want to pay the £1300 setup cost that i've just seen on a google search :saywhat:

All help appreciated as always :)

Satellite could be his only option if he is far enough away from the exchange to make adsl unavailable and there is no wireless coverage etc. I am not sure where you are or what the telecommunications situation is but in Australia where this is a big problem Telstra offer subsidised sat plans at about $100au a month for a two way service be aware though that a lot of sat services are still download via satellite and upload via dial-up.

The other option may be something to do with your mobile phone service we have cdma EVDO which is around the 600k mark for downloads but the latency is fairly high and I am told they can get really good speeds from the 3G network but these are fairly expensive options. I work on coal mines so this is an everyday problem in my life
