My son has just bought himself a Ipod nano - it all works ok he has managed to put tunes on etc etc but he does not know how to charge it. We left it connected to the pc for the last 2 hours via the USB yet the charge symbol for the battery does not appear to have changed at all. Is he doing something daft or does it take a long time to charge up for the first time?
Thanks for any info.
Colin
Didnt it come with a charger? My 3rd Gen iPod wont charge off the PC out-of-the-box

It should have a cable that links your iPod to the PC and it should charge it. I don't own an iPod Nano but I'm pretty sure they work the same as my iPod Video when charging. When you connect your iPod to your PC the colour screen should display some sort of charging symbol initially from what I can recall (never really paid much attention to it).
I got a docking station instead anyways as it's just easier to dock it instead of crouching under my desk to connect the cable to my iPod everytime. Yep, I'm that lazy, lmao.

It does have the cable but the charging symbol does not come on. Have decided to get a separate charger anyway as unlikely to take my pc on holiday for charging purposes!
Thanks for replies.
