I was just going to say that Rima has always had shipping extra unless it is listed somewhere in a special normally I go with Rima because they have always given me good service and I generally like buying in 25 packs. I agree that $1 isn't any big savings when we are talking about that kind of money or quantity but then again this isn't necessarily for people who order in bulq like that. If you compare it to the cost per disc of 25 packs or 50 packs anywhere else this is clearly the best deal for Riteks. I for one won't order in packs of 100 because I don't like dropping that much money at once and by the time I got half way through the pack, there would be a much better deal on them.

i know what you mean... really hurt to see like almost $100 go out of the pocket for DVDR .. well but i thought that the shipping "was" free but i guess i was wrong.. and that 50 pack is a very good deal. just that sometime i pick on deals that i have to pay for shipping.. because sometime the taxes on certain thing treads to cost more than the free shipping itself and i found out sometime the free shipping places usually get out your order slower? maybe it's just me or something.. but i like to pay for the shipping more.. taxes will cut some of it off anyways..

Both Rima and Newegg have always been quick service for me. I will order from those two sites before anyone else even if they are just a couple bucks more because they have always given me good service and they have great reputations.

hhmm just did some re-searching... found out... shop4tech have them for $39.40 for 50 or $77 for 100 but it's silver top with free shipping.. and also if you buy $75 or more you'll get a free gift which is 5 (1x) DVD-RW and would be even sweeter if you add in the code "weekly10" to get $8 off the 100 pack one bring it down to $69 .. i wish i waited for this deal :-( oo well

Yeah but then again I haven't heard the greatest things about shop4tech and thier customer service. Sometimes it is worth the extra money to get piece of mind. ;)

yes i know.. i really have a terrible experences with shop4tech... used my CC and ask them to ship to my dad's house.. not my billing address.. will not ship.. call in.. they cancel the shipment.. place another order.. which charged me more since i wasn't able to apply the coupon where i used to buy the first one. man still pi$$ @ them.. oo well

My little 2-cent |3itch isn't worthy of it's own post so I'll add it in here ...
[|3itch]
I ordered a spindle of Taiyo Yudens described on Rima's site as "silver/blue." I just opened the spindle and discovered they are certainly not even close to blue, but rather green ... so no Azo here. I headed back to Rima and have found that they now removed the color description altogether from the Taiyo Yudens.
[/|3itch]
That aside though, they've done alright by me also. Good prices, good service ... just takes a bit long through UPS to get from CA to PA (7 days+) so wish they offered Fed Ex Saver like NewEgg (which takes 3-4 days to here). I've also learned to completely ignore their descriptions and not to consider it fact unless I have used that particular make and model before. :P Meritline is of course another story ... enough BBB complaints to fill the forums but to each his or her own. :D

Are the Taiyo Yudens (from Rima) any good then? They have really been dropping in price at Rima and if they get cheap enough I might switch from Ritek to Taiyo Yuden. I really like Ritek but if Taiyo Yudens keep falling in price then why not go for the best, right?

Well, I can tell you that my v10 PS2 likes them a lot better than Verbatim DataLifes. I'm having a bit of a problem with my Pio 105 atm though, getting "Device Not Ready" on the first 3 CD burns, 2 burning fine, the 3rd is a coaster as it freezes about 2 min. into the game. Going to be looking into that today to see what the issue is b/c I don't get it when burning DVDs. Taiyos are down to 28 cents a disc at Rima btw. :)

I seen that about them, funny thing is they just some award and I never had a problem with them...guess I have been lucky. Btw I am sure most people no this mertline, allmediaoutlet, cdrdvdrmedia and supermediastore are the same company. I think there is another one I am missing.

Quite a few people at the former cdrom-guide got hosed by them and they kept trying to spam the forums looking for business (not a good sign if they are that desperate for business). I know there are more than a few people here who start seeing red when they see that name. Also I find it interesting that (at least at one point) a computer site was starting to sell cars.
Rendertrap, what if im not in the UK?

Well, they are having an easter special now. $40.50 shipped for a 50 pack of the 4x Ridatas. Yeah, you can get the ones from meritline for $2 cheaper but they are silvertops. I personally prefer the frosted top Ridatas. ;)
