How feckin' long does it take to convert from dvd to mp4 using Videora ffs? The DVD Decrypter part took minutes but the Videora conversion's taking 1:16 minutes so far. I know PC setup plays a factor but fecks sake this seems a bit long to me.
Was hoping to watch Wedding Crashers while Mrs. Merc sluggishly looks about at Ikea, lmfao.
Ah well, I'm screwed now. Just have to watch music videos instead.

Grr, hour and a half later, transferred to my iPod, load it up and plays fine...with NO sound?!?! :furious: Wtf?
Btw, I followed the tut in Smokafatty's sticky to the letter starting from DVD Decrypter on down to the Videora iPod Converter proggy.

Hmmm, theres other programs you can try, the videora was the only one I could find a guide to.
Try this one: InterVideo® iVideoToGo™ for iPod (http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/iVideoToGo_Download.jsp?mode=ipod)

Don't know if you know, but i had loads of movies converted for the PSP (MP4). I copied one of them to the iPod video and it played fine!
Aspect ratio is sometimes out tho :)
Was well chuffed!
Might not be of use to you, but worth knowing i thought.

I always use Nero Recode for mine, it's extremely fast and never had ANY problems, converted hundreds of vids with it

Hmm, interesting m8 thanks. I have PSP Video 9 so I may try that instead and convert it that way as all the iPod seems to require is that the file is in mp4 format. Thanks.
mmace, I've emailed you too m8. ;)

Think I solved it. When I enabled the stream processing I believe either I or DVD Decrypter took off the audio and I didn't catch it. Noticed this with another movie I'm starting to convert and made sure the AC3 was ticked in DVD Decrypter. Now...if only Videora wasn't so slooooooooooooooow to convert it to an mp4! :)

nero is a little more technical than the 'one click does it all' programs listed above but it is quicker. I'm working on a guide using nero recode, should be posted later tonight.

ImTOO iPod Movie Converter 2.xx is the easiest one I've used so far.
Does a 2 hr film in approx 25 mins, settings are easy.
Not quite as comprehensive as PQ DVD to iPod Converter, but simple & fast.
