MP3 format error

I was trying to load up my son's MP3 player with some MP3's I have on a 'backup' disk. They will play ok through media player when plugged into PC but some tracks come up with format error when played on the MP3 itself.

Is there any copywrite issues? Will WMA play better? What do I use to convert MP3 to WMA?....so many questions!!:round:

It is a small 256MB MP3 player.

It is a mpman I think the model is MP-KI or IK. It's a 256KB.
