Norton / Word error

Now although I know no-one would recommend Norton security as their first choice, it came bundled with my mums boyfriends PC (Dell D 1100), he removed a lot of the pre-installed sh!t like AOL, Tiscali and Wanadoo setup stuff, since then has been unable to open MS Word without the office disk in the drive.

Its MS Word 2000, and the error message is 'NAV 2005 does not support the repair function' Ive tried a repair, yet to try a full un / re install, will do once the christmas session is over :)... Just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem previously.

Just go to add / remove programs, uninstall word (or even office), then reinstall. Will prob sort you out - if not (and this would be my first choice) uninstall Norton, check Word working, then reinstall Norton IF YOU MUST!
