AHH why wont it work

I am connected to my xbox through ethernet. I have done this multiple times and i have tried to ftp into my xbox, yet it says connection refused every time. what shall i do? Yes, i have the correct password.

Do you have your xbox set up statically or dchp?
Are you using a crossover or straight enternet cable?

i am using an ethernet cable (cat5 cable) and i am settin it up manually.. I have evox by the way.. i get the same message over and over: connection refused

You need to use a crossover ethernet cable if you are connecting directly to your computer
The guide explains what a crossover cable is and the appropriate settings you should use

Also what ftp program are you using

also check your firewall is not blocking the connection

Hmm that is odd. Flash FXP 3.2.0 (build 1080) works thru my 8 port router very well.
